Lazio Players Who Were On International Duty Returning To Rome Today

Lazio’s players who were with their respective national teams are on their way back to the Italian capital, with the full squad expected to be present tomorrow, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will not be returning after testing positive for Covid-19 earlier this week, and so will have to remain in isolation until he tests negative.

Argentine forward Joaquin Correa, who did not feature in Argentina’s game against Peru on Tuesday night, immediately set off for Rome.

Adam Marusic, who played the full 90 minutes for Montenegro against Cyprus has also left for Rome, alongside 20-year-old Albanian Marco Alia, Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, Francesco Acerbi and Vedat Muqiri.

Between today and tomorrow those players will undergo the usual Covid-19 tests and other medical exams before rejoining the squad in time for this weekend’s fixture against Crotone.
