Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has completed his medical examinations at the Paideia clinic and will be joining coach Simone Inzaghi’s training session this afternoon, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.
The report details how the 30-year-old Italian striker, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, received authorization from the Local Health Authority last night to allow him to attend the medical checks, after yesterday’s Covid-19 test results.
The first results came back negative but the second set showed positivity to the ‘N’ gene, something that doesn’t guarantee Covid-19 positivity. He is safe to return to the squad now.
Immobile’s goal is to be ready for this weekend’s league clash against newly promoted Crotone, and this afternoon’s training session with Inzaghi and the squad will be the first step.
The 30-year-old Italian has scored four goals and provided one assist in six appearances so far this season.
