Lazio Sporting Director Igli Tare Tests Negative for COVID-19

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has tested negative for Covid-19 and is likely to join the squad for tomorrow’s visit to Crotone, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the 47-year-old Albanian executive, who was appointed in the sporting director role back in 2008, is the latest member of the Biancocelesti family to test negative for the contagion.

Earlier this week, Lucas Leiva, Ciro Immobile and Thomas Strakosha all also tested negative for the virus, finally bringing some good news to the club.

Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week however, and is currently in quarantine in his home.

Tare is expected to join coach Simone Inzaghi and the squad for tomorrow’s away clash with newly promoted Crotone. Today the team will travel via their new personalised private plane down to Calabria in preparation for the match.
