Crotone vs Lazio at Risk of Being Postponed Due to Extreme Weather

Crotone vs Lazio at the Stadio Ezio Scida is at risk of being postponed. This is a result of the heavy rainfall that hit the region of Calabria overnight, causing severe flooding.

The Department of Civil Protection has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions for the whole day; there is a red alert for the city of Crotone, while a yellow alert on the rest of the region.

Rossoblu Sporting Director Giuseppe Ursino clarified the situation relating to bad weather this morning.

I haven’t received any information yet that says otherwise. From what we know, the game will go on.

Following this, the Mayor of the city Vincenzo Voce then addressed the people of the city on Radio Capital. While he invited them to stay at home for safety reasons, he indicated that the match should still go on.

Crotone vs Lazio? The game should be played despite this current state. An inspection was carried out and the field is playable.

While it seems that both Lazio and Crotone are pushing to play this match, the Municipality of Crotone will ultimately decide as they own the Stadio Ezio Scida.
