Walter Novellino recently spoke to TMW Radio about Lazio’s current form. He believes that the club on its way to recharging its title hopes.
Novellino says that Lazio did well to beat Crotone, a difficult opponent. The Biancocelesti managed a 2-0 victory away from home in poor weather conditions to the team that currently sits in the bottom of Serie A.
Novellino is a former Italian football player. His career saw him play for teams like Torino, AC Milan, and Perugia. Since retiring he has managed numerous clubs; he last managed Catania back in 2019.
In terms of title hopes, Novellino sees Juventus and AC Milan as favourites. However, he believes that Lazio could also enter the race for the Scudetto this year.
After eight rounds in the league, AC Milan is in first place. Meanwhile, champions Juventus sit in fourth and Lazio is currently in eighth place after avoiding defeat in their last four Serie A matches.
