Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi’s entourage will meet with the Biancocelesti before Christmas to negotiate the player’s contract renewal, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper il Tempo, as reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi.
The report details how the 32-year-old Italian defender, who is contracted to the Roman club until 2023, has remained one of the strongest defenders in Italy so far this season, impressing for both club and country.
Lazio are keen to keep Acerbi and so are prepared to offer him a contract renewal lasting until 2025, with wages of €3 million net per season.
The 32-year-old defender is expected to agree to the deal and continue his working relationship with the Biancocelesti.
Acerbi has made 11 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 990 minutes. In that time, he has provided two assists and helped the side keep two clean sheets.
