Lazio’s Ciro Immobile Nominated for Globe Soccer Best Player of 2020 Award

Lazio striker Ciro Immobile is one of the nominees to win the Dubai Globe Soccer Player of the Year award, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the 30-year-old Italian striker, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, is one of eight players who have been nominated for the Player of the Year 2020 award.

The other nominees are Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Lionel Messi, Marquinhos, Robert Lewandwoski, Sadio Mane and Serge Gnabry.

Other awards at the event include Club of the Year, Coach of the Year, Player of the Century, Club of the Century, Coach of the Century and Agent of the Century, with the century in question being the 21st.

Nominees for the Best Coach of 2020 include Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini.

Last year, Lazio’s Igli Tare was nominated for the Best Sports Director award.

The voting is currently taking place on the Globe Soccer website.
