Lazio defender Luiz Felipe has tested negative for Covid-19 and is ready to return for tomorrow’s Champions League clash against Zenit St. Petersburg, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.
The report details how the 23-year-old Brazilian defender tested positive for the virus a few days after the 1-1 draw against Juventus earlier this month.
Today his negative Covid-19 result was released and he successfully completed his medical checks at the Paideia clinic. He then went to Formello to join today’s training session.
Luiz Felipe has returned at the right time for coach Simone Inzaghi, as a win against Zenit this week puts the Biancocelesti in a good position to progress to the next stage of the competition.
The 23-year-old Brazilian has made four appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 236 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist.
