Udinese managed an important 1-0 home victory against Genoa this past weekend.
While 25-year-old defender Samir Santos acknowledged his team’s success, speaking to Udinese TV, he stated that he is anxious about his club’s upcoming fixtures against Fiorentina midweek (Coppa Italia) and Lazio on the weekend (Serie A).
Although Udinese will have a busy and stressful week, the center back stated that they will need to take time to regroup and reassess their game plan ahead of these upcoming fixtures.
Samir characterized Lazio as tough opponents, who will make the upcoming match difficult. The player believes that Lazio’s strongest department is their attack; as a result, he stated that his side needs to do their best in putting in a strong defensive effort to prevent the Biancocelesti from scoring.
The Bianconeri currently sit in 16th place in Serie A with seven points from eight matches, while Lazio sits in 8th place and are looking to mount a title challenge.
