Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi decided to postpone tactical training sessions for the Zenit St. Petersburg game until this morning, due to the tiredness of the squad yesterday, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the Biancocelesti players who faced Crotone on the weekend started with the rest of the squad from the beginning of training yesterday at Formello, before heading off for athletic work.

The only players to take part in the tactical exercises were Marco Parolo and Mohamed Fares, who both were taken off at half time against the Rossoblu.

Danilo Cataldi was absent from training session, which could be due to a positive Covid-19 test ahead of tonight’s clash against Zenit.

Italian striker Ciro Immobile will start against the Russian side tonight, frustrated that he was forced to miss two games in the Champions League due to inconsistent Covid-19 tests.
