Lazio can secure qualification to the next round of the Champions League next week, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.
The report details how the Biancocelesti beat Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg 3-1 at home earlier today, putting them on eight points in the group.
With German side Borussia Dortmund beating Club Brugge, the Roman club are now one point behind the group leaders.
If Lazio have the same or better result than Club Brugge next week, then they will guarantee qualification to the next round. The Biancocelesti face Dortmund whilst the Belgian side host Zenit.
Coach Simone Inzaghi will have guided the Biancocelesti to their first Champions League second round since the 2000/01 season, when he was a player for the club.
Lazio are also the only Italian team currently undefeated in the Champions League, with fellow Italians Juventus, Atalanta and Inter all losing at least once in their respective groups.
