Lazio President Lotito to Meet With Team Manager Peruzzi in the Next Few Days

Lazio president Claudio Lotito will meet with team coordinator Angelo Peruzzi over the next few days to mend their relationship after the recent tensions, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei earlier today.

The report details how Peruzzi sided with coach Simone Inzaghi in wanting to avoid further problems with Spanish midfielder Luis Alberto, whose social media rant regarding the team’s new plane angered the Biancocelesti’s management.

The Spaniard was given a large fine, but Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare wanted him to be kept out from the squad for the Crotone game on the weekend, whilst Peruzzi and Inzaghi disagreed.

Peruzzi did not travel with the team for the Crotone game and has temporarily left Formello, even threatening resignation.

He will meet with Lotito over the next few days to try to mend the relationship, as the Lazio president appreciates the importance of the team coordinator and his work with the club.

Peruzzi is well known, and his experience and professionalism make him a well-liked person in the dressing room.
