Formello: Lazio Midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic Returns to Rome

The Lazio squad attended their morning training session in Formello today, after yesterday’s key Champions League win over Zenit St Petersburg, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe appeared as a substitute in yesterday’s European triumph, finally recovering from Covid-19. The player is now expected to take Patric’s place as the right-sided centre back for the upcoming game against Udinese this weekend.

Captain Senad Lulic continues his recovery and has not yet been included in the squad registration list for the league, the report continues, while Stefan Radu could recover in time for the league clash against the Bianconeri this weekend.

However, all attention is on Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who has returned to Rome. After testing negative for Covid-19 on Monday and Tuesday, the player was allowed to end his quarantine and return to the Italian Capital.

Milinkovic-Savic is currently carrying out his medical examinations at the Paideia Clinic; if everything goes well, he could return to squad training by Thursday, putting him in contention for the Udinese clash.
