Gianni Di Marzio spoke about Lazio’s war on two fronts this season.
He believes that Simone Inzaghi’s team is likely to succeed in both the domestic competition and the Champions League.
Di Marzio is a former football player, coach, and current television personality.
Throughout a career that began in 1968, he played for several clubs, before coaching some of Italy’s biggest teams, including Napoli. His last appointment as a manager was during the 1991-1992 season when he managed Palermo.
At present, Di Marzio says that Lazio can be regarded as one of Europe’s stronger sides. He says that their performance against Juventus went to prove this. The Biancocelesti managed a 1-1 draw against the Serie A champions only a few weeks back.
The former manager singles out Ciro Immobile as Lazio’s best player. The striker, he says, can play at the same level as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku, or Cristiano Ronaldo.
Di Marzio is also a fan of Joquin Correa. He believes that with the attacking-midfielder in top form, Lazio can challenge for the Serie A title, as well as perform well in the Champions League; much like Atalanta did last year.
