There has been contact between Lazio president Claudio Lotito and club manager Angelo Peruzzi, and a meeting is expected next week after the Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the Biancocelesti’s president and club manager must make peace in order to restore the positive environment in Formello and close the chapter on the Luis Alberto situation.

There has finally been first contact with Lotito and Peruzzi, the report continues, and a meeting between the pair after the Champions League next week has been confirmed.

Lotito criticised the attitude of Peruzzi, who gave his willingness to resume working with the team. Thursday or Friday next week the meeting could take place, that would patch things up and restore a strong working environment.

Peruzzi pushed for the inclusion of Spanish midfielder Luis Alberto into the squad for the game against Crotone last weekend despite his social media rant, whilst president Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare thought he should have remained on the bench.
