Lazio Captain Senad Lulic Has Flown to Germany to Check Status of Ankle Injury

Lazio captain Senad Lulic has flown to Germany to examine his left ankle after his recent work in training with the Biancocelesti, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei earlier today.

The report details how the 34-year-old Bosnian midfielder, who is contracted to the Roman club until the end of the season, suffered a serious left ankle injury earlier this year, forcing him to undergo surgery in February of this year.

Lulic recently returned to squad training after months and months of recovery, the report continues, and signals seemed to suggest that he was on his way to returning to coach Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

The Bosnian veteran has not been seen in Formello for the last two days, and has flown to Germany to fully examine how his left ankle has reacted to the recent increased workload.

Lulic is not still included in the Serie A player registration list but Inzaghi has every intention to include him as long as he fully recovers.
