Ciro Immobile Becomes Lazio’s Second-Highest Scorer

Lazio ended up losing their Serie A fixture this weekend against Udinese by a score of 3-1. However, there was one silver lining in this match, as Ciro Immobile not only passed Giuseppe Signori’s goalscoring record for the club in Serie A (by scoring his 108th goal for the club) but he also tied Signori’s penalty scoring record (38) at the club.

The records keep piling for Immobile at Lazio. Of course, this is not the first time that the 30-year-old has been broken records while playing for the Biancocelesti. The Italian striker has carved out an amazing career while at the club; last season alone he won the Capocannoniere award and the European Golden Shoe.

Below is the list of players who have scored the highest number of goals from the penalty spot for Lazio.

  • 38 – Ciro Immobile
  • 38 – Giuseppe Signori
  • 35 – Giorgio Chinaglia
  • 24 – Bruno Giordano
  • 17 – Antonio Candreva
  • 15 – Vincenzo D’Amico
  • 15 – Renzo Burini
  • 13 – Sinisa Mihajlovic
  • 13 – Massimo Oddo
  • 11 – Silvio Piola

Thus far this 2020/21 season, Immobile has scored eight goals in thirteen appearances.
