The Lazio squad have been bombarding team manager Angelo Peruzzi’s phone recently, asking him to return, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei earlier today.

The report details how the 50-year-old Italian left Formello recently after coming to blows with president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare regarding the best way to handle Spanish midfielder Luis Alberto.

The 28-year-old had ranted on social media regarding the purchase of a new plane. A fine was already confirmed, but Lotito and Tare wanted to block him from the league clash against Crotone, whilst Peruzzi disagreed.

The argument got so heated that Peruzzi left the training ground in Formello and has not been seen since. He is set to have a meeting with Lotito after this week’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund, and is expected to return after this.

The Lazio squad have clearly missed their team manager, calling and texting his phone asking him to return.
