Lazio Midfielder Luis Alberto: “I Have a Lot of Superstitions Before the Game”

Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto answered some of fans’ questions on the Cronache di Spogliatoio Instagram page earlier today, discussing his career, favourite music and more.

His words were collected by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

First, the Spanish midfielder spoke about his first memories with a football.

Near home, I was playing alone against the wall, then after two years I started playing 5-a-side with friends.

Then Luis Alberto commented on any superstitions he has before a match.

I don’t look at anyone, I have a lot of superstitions before the game.

The 28-year-old Spaniard revealed what songs he listens to before playing.

I always listen to Spanish songs, they’re the most beautiful, before a match.

The Lazio midfielder spoke about who he phoned first after signing his first professional contract.

Nobody, my mother was with me and we went straight to lunch to celebrate.

Finally, Luis Alberto discussed which football player was the subject of the first poster that he put up in his room.

Zinedine Zidane’s poster was the first poster I put up in my bedroom.

The 28-year-old Luis Alberto, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, has made 10 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 808 minutes.

In that time, he has scored one goal, and was the centre of controversy after publicly ranting about Lazio’s new Boeing 737 on Instagram.
