Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has been officially nominated to UEFA’s Team of the Year, as announced by their official Twitter page earlier today.
The 30-year-old Italian striker, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, was the top scorer in Serie A last season, netting 36 times in the league across 37 appearances. He earnt the European Golden Boot for his efforts.
His strong form has carried over into this season as well, where he has scored eight times in nine appearances.
UEFA announced Immobile’s nomination on Twitter, saying:
