Lazio Sporting Director Tare Tried To Sign Dortmund’s Erling Haaland

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare tried to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland whilst he was still at Norwegian side Molde, according to a report from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio whilst speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today, as reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi.

The report details how the Albanian executive tried to sign the 20-year-old Norwegian striker during his time with Molde, from 2017 to 2019.

A deal never materialised and he went on to join Austrian side RB Salzburg, where he would explode onto the scene, earning a move to Germany’s Borussia Dortmund last season.

So far this season, Haaland has made 14 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 1121 minutes. In that time, he has scored 17 goals and provided three assists.

The 20-year-old Norwegian striker has scored in every Champions League game so far this campaign, netting six times in four games, one of which was against the Biancocelesti in October.
