Club Brugge coach Philippe Clement discussed the Belgian side’s 3-0 win over Zenit St. Petersburg yesterday and next week’s winner takes all clash between them and Lazio in an interview on the club’s official website yesterday.

What really pleased me was the joy my players had, as well as the staff, the board and the fans. With those fireworks by the end of the game, the fans showed they were also present. Next week, we’ll be giving it everything we’ve got, without calculating.

We had a head full of dreams as we headed for Madrid last season, and we came close to winning. We also dreamt of good things at Paris, and if that penalty would’ve gone in, we could have claimed that win.

It’s with a suitcase full of dreams that we’ll be boarding the plane for Rome too next week, and try and cause an upset there. We’ve got nothing to lose.

With Club Brugge’s 3-0 win over Zenit yesterday, they are now two points behind Lazio with one game to go.

The winner of next week’s match will qualify for the next round of the competition alongside German side Borussia Dortmund, an important result for coach Simone Inzaghi.

Lazio have been absent from the Champions League for the last 13 years, and it would be a great achievement for the Italian coach to guide the Biancocelesti back into the knockout stages upon their return.
