Former Lazio defender Giancarlo Oddi discussed the Biancocelesti’s tough 1-1 draw against German side Borussia Dortmund yesterday in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei earlier today.

His words were noted by Italian media outlet LazioNews24.

The match I was expecting appeared in the second half. We faced a good team, despite some absences. Good and tight match, if some of our team was in better shape, we would have done better. Luis Alberto and Milinkovic-Savic played their game but they could have given something more.

In my opinion the result was fair. Tuesday will be a difficult challenge. After their good work so far, it would be crazy to drop out thanks to a defeat against Club Brugge.

If I had to say something as a coach, I’d make my players understand how disappointing it would be to go out at this point. Lazio must play like they know and the Belgians will not be afraid.

Lazio are currently second in their Champions League group after five games, sitting on nine points, one behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.
