Club Brugge goalkeeper Simon Mignolet discussed the Belgian side’s upcoming Champions League clash against Lazio in an interview with Belgian media outlet Voetbalnieuws.be yesterday.

We have to believe from the start. Immobile and Luis Alberto did not play here in Belgium, but we still faced a strong Lazio. We have shown that we are on equal footing.

Then we had a good game against Zenit. Now we can play freely play football, which is the opposite for Lazio.

They play at home and are obliged to qualify considering their current position in the group. Maybe we can take advantage of that.

Lazio are currently second in their Champions League group after five games, sitting on nine points, one behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.

Simone Inzaghi’s side cannot afford to lose to Club Brugge tomorrow or they will fail to qualify for the next round of the competition and will drop down into the Europa League.

A draw or a win are enough to guarantee qualification.
