Lazio are looking for a new home for Slovakian defender Denis Vavro, with a January move to Bologna possible, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei earlier today.
The report details how the Roman side signed the 24-year-old Slovakian in the summer of 2019, but he has failed to convince since his arrival, never particularly impressing on the pitch.
He has been excluded from the club’s squad registration list for both the league and Champions League, essentially making him estranged from the side.
Bologna are looking for a new central defender and Vavro’s characteristics could nicely match the system placed by coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
It’s not clear yet if these are just rumours or the sign of something more concrete, and so further updates are expected closer to the January transfer window.
Vavro is contracted to Lazio until 2024 and has made 18 appearances across all competitions for the club.
