GKS Tychy talent Jan Bieganski explained why he refused an offer from Lazio in an interview with Polish media outlet Sportowefakty.wp yesterday.
It’s true, there has been an offer from Lazio for some time now, and I must admit, it’s very tempting. I thought about it for a long time, but after consulting my parents and agents, we came to the conclusion that the jump from the Polish Premier League to Lazio would be too big today.
We decided that my career will head towards the PKO Ekstraklasa. This is the right step for my development. However, I hope that the topic will return.
I have been watching Lazio in the last few months, I like the club. It would be nice one day to go to such a club.
The 18-year-old Polish defensive midfielder, who is contracted to second tier side Tychy until the end of this month, has made 12 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 947 minutes.
In that time, he impressed, helping the side keep four clean sheets and looking calm on the ball.
