Italian journalist Riccardo Cucchi commented on Lazio’s important Champions League draw against Club Brugge and their qualification to the Round of 16 in a post on his Twitter page this morning.
The Biancocelesti finished second in their group, behind winners Borussia Dortmund, who are now likely to have an easier draw next week in the Round of 16 draw.
The Roman club will be up against one of the group winners, which includes top teams like Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
Cucchi discussed yesterday’s result and the Round of 16 qualification in a tweet, saying:
Great result for Lazio. Qualifying for the Round of 16 was the goal. It was reached in a not easy group that Inzaghi’s team finished unbeaten. A nice goal.
