Salernitana sporting director Angelo Fabiani discussed Lazio midfielder Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster TMW Radio earlier today.

I haven’t spoken to Akpa Akpro after their match yesterday, I’m pleased with his work. I know his moral and footballing qualities. Lazio saw us sign him and bet on him for a long time.

I have to give a round of applause to Tare and Inzaghi, who are making him grow. We’re talking about a guy who was also the captain of Toulouse, a player with important skills, and the club is working well with him.

The 28-year-old Akpa Akpro, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2022, has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 583 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and meshed well in coach Simone Inzaghi’s tactical system.

He has only missed one game so far this campaign, the 3-0 loss to Sampdoria in October.
