Lazio looked ahead to their potential opponents in the Champions League Round of 16 with a post on their Twitter page earlier today.
The Biancocelesti finished second in Group F, which also contained Zenit St. Petersburg, Club Brugge and Borussia Dortmund.
Simone Inzaghi’s side remained undefeated throughout the group stage and qualified earlier this week with their draw against Club Brugge.
The Champions League Round of 16 Draw is on Monday next week when Lazio’s opponents will be confirmed.
Here is a quick recap of the six possible opponents’ work in the group stage:
Bayern Munich – The reigning European champions were dominant in Group A, winning five of their six matches and drawing the other against Atletico Madrid, RB Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow.
Real Madrid – Zinedine Zidane’s side shook off two painful losses to Shakhtar Donetsk to top Group B, which also contained Inter and Borussia Monchengladbach.
Manchester City – The Sky Blues faced little challenge in Group C, winning five of their six and drawing the other, in games against Porto, Olympiacos and Olympique de Marseille.
Paris Saint-Germain – Last season’s runners-up in the competition, PSG closed out a slightly shaky Group H with four wins and two losses, dropping points to both RB Leipzig and Manchester United, although they faced little trouble from Istanbul Basaksehir.
Chelsea – Frank Lampard’s side impressed in Group E, remaining undefeated against Sevilla, Krasnodar and Stade Rennais, winning four of their six fixtures.
Liverpool – The reigning English champions seemed a little unsettled in Group D, losing 2-0 to Atalanta and drawing 1-1 with Midtjylland, although they won the other four games.
