Lazio, AC Milan & PSG All Interested In Atalanta’s Papu Gomez, Spanish Media Report

Lazio, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in signing Atalanta talisman Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez, according to a report from Spanish media outlet Fichajes.net earlier today.

The report details how the 32-year-old Argentine forward, who is contracted to the Bergamo-based club until 2022, is not experiencing a positive period currently and may leave the club in the next two transfer windows.

Rumours suggest that Gomez has suffered a relationship breakdown with some of the squad and coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and should Atalanta allow him to be sold, then multiple clubs are in the running.

PSG, Milan and Lazio are all keen to acquire the 32-year-old Argentinian, the report continues. For the Biancocelesti and Rossoneri, he could also be a possible replacement for Luis Alberto and Hakan Calhanoglu respectively.

All three clubs are thinking of signing him in the Summer Transfer Window, not the upcoming January Transfer window. However, if he was to be put on the transfer list in the next few weeks, then things could definitely change.

Papu Gomez currently makes €2 million per season in Bergamo. If and when he leaves, the transfer fee would likely be €10 million or less given his age and contract situation.
