It was a rollercoaster of a week for Lazio. They were able to secure second place in Group F to advance to the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

However, they couldn’t carry that momentum into Serie A as they fell 2-1 to Hellas Verona FC as they’re starting to fall more towards the middle of the table rather than battling for a top-four position.

According to a report from the Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi is already looking to put the loss to Verona behind them.

With the fixture on Tuesday against Benevento Calcio, as the players who didn’t make an appearance in the match against Verona took part in Sunday’s training session.

Inzaghi is hopeful to have Luis Alberto for the match against Benevento. Meanwhile, Francesco Acerbi will undergo a medical evaluation after leaving Saturday’s fixture against Verona. Lazio will have one more training session on Monday before departing for Benevento.
