It’s no secret that Lazio’s Ciro Immobile is a goal-scoring machine. Still, many might wondered heading into the UEFA Champions League whether the 30-year-old striker can bring that goal-scoring touch to the competition.
Alas, like many quality strikers, Immobile can score anywhere. Regardless of who Lazio plays and what competition they’re in, the Italy international will put the ball in the back of the net.
Lazio Page tweeted out a stat that showed the goal scored per 90 stat for this seasons’ Champions League, and Immobile is fourth, averaging 1.39 goals per 90.

1.57 🇳🇴 Haaland (BOR)
1.51 🇲🇦 En-Nesyri (SIV)
1.41 🇧🇷 Neymar (PSG)
1.39 🇮🇹 Immobile (LAZ)
1.30 🏴 Rashford (UTD)@ciroimmobile— Lazio Page (@laziopage) December 10, 2020
Only Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland (1.57), Sevilla FC’s Youssef En-Nesyri (1.51), and Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar Jr. (1.41) had a better average than Immobile.
Despite only playing in four Champions League fixtures, Immobile scored five goals with a scoring frequency of 65 minutes, according to SofaScore.
If Lazio has a healthy Immobile, his goal-scoring touch will prove to be a headache for any club that finished in first place during the group stage.
