Video: “Lazio Must Improve to Stay at Remain at This Level” – Piscedda Wants Former Club to Frequently Compete in European Competitions

Former Lazio defender Massimo Piscedda spoke with TMW News, a television program of Tuttomercatoweb.com, to discuss various topics, the first being his thoughts on his former club advancing into the Champions League Round of 16.

Despite stating that Lazio deserved to go through, Piscedda indicated that he hopes the club has the ambition to improve and remain at a level that sees them in the Champions League quite often.

Lazio deserved to progress to the second round of the Champions League, thanks to the group and their compactness. Now, Lazio must improve to remain at this level for years to come.

I don’t believe much in the January transfer market. I don’t see great players that can be purchased that will make a difference.

If a defender is enough to launch Lazio in the Champions League, then very well. But for now, the important thing is maintenance.

While Lazio’s squad in Italy is fine, in Europe, it needs improvement.

The next significant topic Piscedda discussed is over the potential of Felipe Caicedo leaving this January and whether letting him go is the wrong move.

No, it would not be the wrong move, because they have invested in Vedat Muriqi. Caicedo is his alternative, and although he is strong, he is not Lewandowski nor Immobile. I would let him leave because they now have the Kosovan, and his sale would also bring the club revenue.
