Only Three Players Have More Goal Creating Actions in the Champions League Than Lazio’s Correa

Lazio’s Joaquín Correa is one of the driving forces on the attack to create scoring opportunities for his teammates in this seasons’ UEFA Champions League.

Lazio Page tweeted out a stat that spotlights how vital the 26-year-old is to the Biancocelesti. Correa has five goal creating actions with only FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi (7), Juventus FC’s Juan Cuadrado (7), and FC Porto’s Jesús Manuel Corona (6) having more than the Lazio forward.

During the 2020-21 Champions League campaign, Correa has started all six fixtures while averaging 81 minutes per game, which has resulted in two goals and two assists, according to SofaScore

Furthermore, when the Argentina international is out on the pitch, he also averages. 40.5 touches per game, leading to 1.7 shots and 1.2 key passes per game.

This Champions League season has shown that Correa can contribute in both ways in crucial matches, whether it’s scoring goals himself or creating opportunities for his teammates.

The 26-year-old will be a key figure if Lazio hopes to advance past the Round of 16.
