Lazio & Roma Join the ‘Stop the Waste’ Project Together to Help Fight World Hunger

Lazio and Roma will both join the ‘Stop the Waste’ project together, promoted by the Italian Committee for the World Food Programme, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

The report details how the two Roman clubs will both join the project together, which is being ran by the United Nations agency that deals with food assistance. The objective is to help fight world hunger during the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, a presentation press conference was held at the Stadio Olimpico discussing the project, with Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito and Giallorossi president Dan Friedkin both present.

Lazio will wear the WFP logo first in their home match against Napoli on Sunday, whilst Roma will wear it in their match against Cagliari on the 23rd December.

The Biancocelesti are still looking for a main shirt sponsor and so the WFP logo gives fans a taste of what this season’s shirts would look like with one.
