Former Lazio and Bayern Munich full back Massimo Oddo discussed the upcoming Champions League Round of 16 clash between the two sides in an interview with Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi yesterday.
From the Round of 16 onwards there are no easy games but it could certainly have gone better. Bayern Munich have been a Champions League powerhouse for years now. In the two legs, however, you never know. Lazio will be up against a team that has great international experience and is very strong.
The 44-year-old Italian commented on what percentage chance he would give Lazio of winning.
You can’t give percentages. In single matches, many factors count, including luck, and a sending off can change everything. Both teams are off to an even start, 11 against 11 and with 180 minutes to play.
Lazio must play as a team, having two great games and trying to give everything they have. The ball is round, anything can happen.
Both teams finished their Champions League group stage undefeated, although the German side won all but one of their games, whilst the Biancocelesti only won twice.
