Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi is finishing his recovery and may be fit for this weekend’s league clash against Napoli, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.
The report details how the 26-year-old Kosovan forward, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, has been out due to a sprain suffered in the 3-1 win over Zenit last month.
The former Fenerbahce man trained individually today and is working on finishing his recovery, hoping to be fit in time for the clash against Napoli. Signals will become clear over the next 48 hours.
The Biancocelesti squad was split into those who played against Benevento and those who were rested at the training ground in Formello, with those who started taking part in individual work in the gym.
Luiz Felipe, Gonzalo Escalante and Joaquin Correa, who all started yesterday, did also train with the rested players.
Lucas Leiva and Mohamed Fares are both out due to a muscle injury and are unlikely to feature in the next two games.
Francesco Acerbi’s condition is currently under observation, and he is more likely to appear against AC Milan than he is against Napoli.
