Lazio president Claudio Lotito and a delegation of the players will deliver gifts to children in hospital on Friday, according to a report from Italian media outlet Cittaceleste.it earlier today.
The report details how the Lazio president and some of the squad will travel to Policlinico Umberto I in Rome on the afternoon of Friday 18th December, to give some gifts to children who are currently hospitalized in the pediatric oncology and hematology wards of the hospital.
Due to the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic, the squad will not have the usual Christmas dinner and celebrations this year, and so this is Lotito’s way of giving back to the community.
One player who is likely to attend is Italian defender Francesco Acerbi, who has a history of visiting hospitalized children. In October 2019, he reportedly refused to leave the children’s hospital Bambin Gesù in Rome when he was part of the Italian national team delegation there.
