Formello: Lazio Forward Vedat Muriqi Has Returned to Squad Training

Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi returned to squad training today and will join the team for the match against Napoli this weekend, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the 26-year-old Kosovan forward, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, has recovered from the ankle strain suffered against Zenit St. Petersburg in the Champions League last month.

Assuming there are no further complications, he will be included in the matchday squad for the upcoming Serie A fixture against Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli.

Muriqi has made eight appearances so far this season but hasn’t gotten off the ground just yet in Rome.

Today’s training session in Formello was preceded by a speech from coach Simone Inzaghi in the center circle, before the players underwent a warm up and tactical exercises.

Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who was part of the group, did not take part in the short match at the end of the session.
