Italian Journalist Maurizio Nicita Believes Lazio May Soon Undergo a Major Roster Turnover

Lazio is in the midst of an underwhelming season in Serie A this season.

With inconsistencies on both ends of the pitch, Lazio currently stands at ninth-place in the Serie A standings. The season is still early for the Binacocelesti, but many expected better from the club at this point in the campaign.

Italian journalist Maurizio Nicita believes that there could be dire consequences from the team’s underwhelming Serie A campaign. With Lazio far away from a top-four standing in league play this season, he deems that there may be major changes at the end of the season if the club is not able to turn its campaign around. He touched on this matter in comments relayed by the Italian-based outlet Cittaceleste.

I fear that Lazio will have to restructure between now and next season. In the league, it is difficult to return to the top four. Without the Champions League and with all the previous situations, I think there will be a revolution. We’ll see if Inzaghi has the same motivations. I would see Italian well on the Biancoceleste bench with a view to restructuring the team.

Lazio has done an excellent job in previous years of keeping its core players on the team, from the likes of Ciro Immobile to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. But as alluded by Nicita, this could all change soon.
