Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi is at risk of missing the upcoming Serie A clash against Napoli, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.
The report details how the 32-year-old Italian defender, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2023, suffered a small thigh injury in the first half of the 2-1 defeat to Hellas Verona last weekend.
He is currently being monitored by the medical staff daily, evaluating his condition step by step to see if it’s safe to deploy him against the Partenopei this weekend.
Acerbi may miss the Napoli clash in order to be fit for the final match of 2020, the away trip to league leaders AC Milan.
If it were up to the 32-year-old Italian, he would play in both games, but the club want to safeguard his future physical condition, especially with the Champions League Round of 16 just around the corner.
