Lazio president Claudio Lotito visited the squad in Formello yesterday to understand the recent performances of the club, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei earlier today.
The report details how the Italian businessman has not been impressed with the team’s latest performances, namely the 2-1 loss to Hellas Verona on the weekend and the 1-1 draw with Benevento earlier this week.
Lazio, despite all the ongoing financial issues thanks to the global Covid-19 pandemic, are still paying the squad their full salaries without delay, and expect more from the players.
It’s likely that Lotito will meet with the players again before the Serie A clash against Napoli this weekend. He does not want to create tension but simply understand what is going on and why.
Lazio currently sit 9th in Serie A after 12 games, with 18 points. They are five points behind Napoli, who sit in 4th, their season goal.
