AC Milan Striker Ibrahimovic Will Miss Clash Against Lazio Due to Calf Injury

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has suffered a left calf injury and will miss the upcoming Serie A clash against Lazio, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the 39-year-old Swedish striker, who is contracted to the Rossoneri until the end of the season, felt pain in his left calf after today’s training session. The MRI showed a hemorrhagic suffusion in the soleus muscle, which will keep him out for at least 10 days.

AC Milan are scheduled to play the Biancocelesti on the 23rd December, meaning the former Paris Saint-Germain and Inter striker will certainly not appear.

Ibrahimovic has made 10 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 792 minutes.

In that time, he has scored 11 goals and provided two assists, being a core part of Stefano Pioli’s Rossoneri side and a strong leader on the pitch.
