Lazio striker Ciro Immobile’s goal against Napoli was his 143rd in Serie A in his career, surpassing the number scored by multiple top players, according to a report from Khaled Al Nouss on Twitter yesterday.
The report details how the 30-year-old Italian, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, has scored 143 Serie A goals in 236 games.
His goal against Napoli yesterday saw him overpass former Juventus forward Marco Di Vaio, former Inter striker Christian Vieri, AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and former Roma forward Vincenzo Montella.
The 30-year-old Immobile has spent the majority of his career in Serie A, only spending two unsuccessful seasons away in Germany with Borussia Dortmund and in Spain with Sevilla.
This season, Immobile has made 15 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 1183 minutes. In that time, he has scored 13 goals and provided three assists, being a core part of coach Simone Inzaghi’s system.
