Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva travelled to the Paideia clinic in Rome this morning to carry out medical checks that will confirm his recovery time, as seen in a post on Lazio’s official Twitter account.
The 33-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2022, suffered a muscle injury in the 2-1 loss to Hellas Verona earlier this month, which forced him to miss the last two consecutive games.
It was a surprise when it was suggested that he could appear against Napoli on the weekend, although he missed the final training session, confirming his absence.
Leiva traveled to the Paideia clinic today to fully evaluate his physical condition and see if it would be possible for him to feature against AC Milan this week.
