Lazio may soon face a dilemma with its current manager in Simone Inzaghi.
The Italian manager has helped Lazio to triumph as of late. From winning trophies to guiding the side to its second-ever appearance in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage, Lazio has enjoyed formidable success under Inzaghi. However, Inzaghi is slated to become a free agent following this season when his current contract is up.
Former Juventus defender Alessio Tacchinardi believes that Lazio should go on to come to terms with Inzaghi for a contract extension deal. The recent win for Lazio over Napoli more so convinced Tacchinardi that the Biancocelesti must go on to keep Inzaghi. Tacchinardi spoke about Inzaghi in comments relayed by the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Simao Noi.
Inzaghi has to renew. He’s great because he played an excellent match. When a player comes to hug you, it means he plays for you too.
As mentioned, Inzaghi’s current contract will be up at the conclusion of the season but many, like Tacchinardi, hope that the Italian manager will prolong his current stay with the club.
