Lazio is set for arguably the biggest fixture of its Serie A season so far when it takes on AC Milan tomorrow.

A win for Lazio could potentially give the side a top-five standing in the league table pending the other results from the matchday. Nonetheless, this fixture could be a season-defining game for Simone Inzaghi’s side.

Former Lazio forward Bruno Giordano is much anticipating watching his former club take on the league-leaders. He noted Lazio’s recent win over Napoli on matchday 13 and believes that a possible positive result for the side over Milan can go a long way in its season. Giordano spoke about the fixture in comments to the Italian-based outlet TuttoMercatoWeb Radio.

Lazio alternates excellent performances with negative performances. Perhaps there has been a turning point with Napoli. If Milan win, the value is double. Then there will be even the break and you will find some players would be a great injection of self-esteem.

Much has been discussed revolving around the future of Luis Alberto with Lazio. He is currently locked into a long-term contract with the Biancocelesti but there have been rumors swirling as of late regarding a potential departure. For Giordano, he is backing the Spanish playmaker to stay on with Lazio.

I think he has some requests too, but I hope that Lazio will remain. It is crucial. You realize it when he is not playing; without him, it is difficult to create scoring actions.

Alberto is coming off of a key performance against Napoli and is sure to be aiming to provide for another stout showing against AC Milan, which would be key for Lazio.
