Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is hoping to have Joaquin Correa and Francesco Acerbi available for tomorrow’s Serie A clash against AC Milan, but only one of the two is likely to be fit enough, according to a report from Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as reported by LazioNews24.
The report details how the 26-year-old Correa, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2024, is expected to recover in time for tomorrow evening’s clash against the Rossoneri, after suffering from muscle issues.
Even if he is called up, he is not likely to start, with Ecuadorian forward Felipe Caicedo taking his place in the starting 11 alongside Ciro Immobile.
Inzaghi is also hoping that Acerbi will be fit enough to feature, the report continues, although this looks unlikely.
The 32-year-old Italian defender is suffering from adductor problems and will likely not even make the trip to Milan with the squad, with his return scheduled for the new year.
