Ex-Milan Defender Galli: “Lazio Will Want 3 Points but It’s Never Easy at the San Siro”

Former AC Milan defender Filippo Galli discussed this evening’s league clash between the Rossoneri and Lazio in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei earlier today (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).

Milan are ahead on merit. I believe that what the Rossoneri have done is due to the club’s decision to keep Pioli on, a series of moments, as often happens, have given consistency to the team’s performance, Ibrahimovic who has helped the younger players in training and then the great work of Pioli.

Today Milan are playing with an amazing awareness. I expect Milan to try to win this evening’s game, which is very important, but it will be a difficult one because Lazio are in a good moment.

The Italian touched on how it will be an exciting game due to the stars on both teams.

It will be a well-balanced game and even if the Rossoneri have many absences they have shown that they maintain a certain quality of play, the Biancocelesti have a quality midfield and then they have Ciro Immobile up front.

I like Luis Alberto a lot, he and Calhanoglu are two imaginative players who can light up teams at any time. Calhanoglu has found a consistency that he didn’t have last season. Let’s enjoy this match, Lazio will want to earn points and tighten up the table.

Finally, Galli discussed the Biancocelesti’s slightly sluggish start to the season and how they can recover.

Inzaghi’s team haven’t started at their best this season but Lazio have plenty of time to recover, tonight is an important match and a win could bring greater peace of mind and awareness, it’s not easy though to win at the San Siro even if the crowd isn’t there.
