Italian journalist Riccardo Cucchi looked ahead to this evening’s league clash between Lazio and AC Milan in a post on his Twitter page.
The Biancocelesti are currently 8th in the Serie A table after 13 games, with 21 points. They are 10 points behind league leaders AC Milan, who remain the only undefeated team in Europe’s top five leagues, after Juventus’ loss to Fiorentina yesterday.
A win would be massive for the Roman club, as it would see them join the pack of teams currently occupying 3rd, 4th and 5th. Napoli, the Bianconeri and rivals Roma all sit with 24 points, meaning that the fight for the 4th Champions League spot will surely become a bitter one nearer the end of the season.
Lazio’s form domestically has been shaky this season but the win over Napoli on the weekend will give Inzaghi’s side hope.
Cucchi looked ahead to the game on Twitter, saying:
Of Milan – Lazio there are many attractive aspects, undoubtedly. Among these is the ‘tactical’ challenge between two coaches I personally respect a lot: Pioli and Inzaghi.
